Factory Testing
At our customers request, Ventrol will conduct a factory leak test and provide accompanying documentation as a means of ensuring our manufacturing quality and guaranteeing our units performance.
CES Test Lab
The CES Testing Laboratory is the most modern, fully-equipped HVAC testing facility in North America. Consisting of dual AMCA 300 reverberant chambers, the facility was designed with input from a team of highly regarded sound consultants.
Test results are extremely accurate and efficient thanks to the dual chambers that permit simultaneous measurement of both the discharge and inlet, or discharge and radiated sound power.
The CES Testing Lab routinely conducts air flow and sound testing. Third octave band sound testing down to 50 Hz in accordance with AMCA Standard 300 is also available. Air flow can be measured up to 65,000 CFM.
To measure air flow, the lab is equipped with an isolated, calibrated, nozzle-type air flow measurement station. Physically located outside the stand-alone facility, the station is isolated with sound traps to minimize any noise transmission to the reverberant chambers. Control and measurement of air flow is also accomplished through the data acquisition system.
Beyond Air Flow and Sound Power Testing
In addition to air flow and sound power testing, thermal performance of air handlers and compressorized units can also be determined. The Lab is equipped with a chiller and a boiler to offset the tested equipmentÍs heating and cooling capacity.
Thermal performance can be evaluated up to 150 tons and 1,500 MBtu of heating. All tests can be independently monitored if desired. Research and development designed to optimize the acoustical capabilities of casing construction and fan designs are routinely conducted in the CES Lab.
